Clara was a high level competitive gymnast for 12 years before starting classes at the San Diego Circus Center in 2015. After completing a year of university, she decided to leave school to pursue a circus career and joined the San Diego Circus Center’s preparatory program in 2017 in order to audition for higher education circus schools. She was accepted to the collegial program at l’École Nationale de Cirque à Montréal as an aerial straps specialist. Clara spent the summer of 2018 performing teeterboard at SeaWorld San Diego before beginning her training at ENC.
Clara believes that strength and stability is key in safely and correctly executing skills in any circus discipline and crucial for any circus artist or enthusiast. Using the techniques she learned from her gymnastics and circus training, she creates programs geared towards increasing full body strength as well as injury prevention.
