Julia Ruth is a professional circus performer and coach passionate about using strength, movement, and individuality to spread the joy of circus around the world. Her first opportunity in performance came as a college physics major in 2010 when she joined an exhibitional gymnastics troupe. Her years in gymnastics helped her develop a strong foundation in gymnastics strength progressions and inspired her to spread fitness to others, which she began doing as a personal trainer and strength coach specializing in bodyweight training. Since then, she has used these same principles, knowledge, and work ethic to continue expanding her skill set into various aerial and ground acrobatic disciplines over the years. Julia has been fortunate enough to travel both nationally and internationally performing cyr wheel, partner acrobatics, stilting, and more. She continually strives to improve her technique, artistry, and creativity with the understanding that the more she improves herself, the more she can also give to her students.
Julia is dedicated to using her knowledge and experience to develop the right cyr wheel training program for each person. She has years of teaching experience both in a classroom as a science and language teacher and in the gym as a cyr wheel, circus, and fitness coach and understands that each student has a unique learning style. A Progressive Axis Training certified instructor and active physicist, she is dedicated to using her knowledge of science, the body, and fun metaphors to break down cyr wheel technique and make it accessible to all people. She enjoys teaching on digital platforms because it allows her to connect with students all over the world who may not otherwise have access to training and, while it sometimes presents challenges, she has found great success in using the tools at her disposal to make sure students progress and enjoy doing so. Julia looks forward to working with students to allow them to excel in their Cyr Wheel training and achieve their personal goals!
