Coming from the Trampoline and Tumbling world, Mitch Head was destined to be an acrobat with Cirque du Soleil. Joining the troupe in 1997 for Saltimbanco he excelled at Russian Swing, Chinese Poles, Bungees and Diabolo. In 2004 he moved on to take part in the creation of Corteo, where he performed in the Bouncing Beds and the role of August Clown.
In 2006 Mitch left the stage to begin a coaching career at Cirque’s International Headquarters. For 11 years he took part in the creation of acrobatic numbers on shows such as Kurious, Ovo, Mj One just to name a few. Part of his work in Montreal was to support the maintenance of existing Cirque acts by training new artists and giving important input to casting for creations and existing numbers.
With over 35 years of acrobatic experience Mitch now works as a Consultant for the likes of Cirque, Sept Doigts De La Main, Cirque Eloize , San Diego Circus Center and Vallarta Adventures. His specialties are Trampoline, Teeterboard, Tramp Wall, Russian Swing, Chinese Pole and many more.
